Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is a collaborative protocol that unites the efforts of preoperative nursing, anesthesia, surgeons, recovery room, floor nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. This comprehensive approach is designed to significantly accelerate recovery and minimize complications following inpatient spine surgeries. By focusing on preoperative education, medical optimization, multimodal pain management, along with early mobilization, ERAS to decreased hospital stays and promotes safer, quicker recoveries.
