Dr. VanPelt

Dr. VanPelt has proudly served the Upstate South Carolina community since 2006, when he joined Piedmont Orthopaedic Associates. As a fellowship-trained spine surgeon, he specializes in the treatment of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions using advanced minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques. Whenever appropriate, he performs procedures in an ambulatory surgery center setting to promote faster recovery and improved patient comfort.

 

Originally from West Virginia, Dr. VanPelt values faith, family, and an active lifestyle. He and his wife are active members of St. Mary Magdalene. Outside the operating room, he enjoys cycling throughout the Upstate and traveling with his wife, Michelle, a fellow physician in Greenville.
